We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded Category Manager to join our Commercial team at PROPER SNACKS.

As our Category Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping us navigate the ever-changing world of snacking. You’ll spot what shoppers want, where the growth opportunities are, and how we stay culturally relevant and commercially sharp. This is a role for someone who’s comfortable owning insight, confidently influencing stakeholders, and turning data into clear, compelling stories that drive action.
A key part of the Category Manager’s role is acting as a commercial interpreter for the business. You’ll help Proper understand why performance is moving the way it is, cutting through noise to identify the real drivers behind results. Rather than producing reports for reporting’s sake, you’ll focus on insight that explains performance, informs action and helps the business respond quickly and confidently.
The Person:
You’re naturally curious and commercially astute, with a strong instinct for turning data into insight and insight into action. You’re comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy bringing clarity to complex or imperfect information. You have the confidence to lead conversations, challenge thinking constructively, and present recommendations with conviction.
You’re collaborative and adaptable, building strong relationships across Sales, Marketing and Innovation. You take pride in delivering work that’s both insightful and practical, and you bring energy, pace and a genuine passion for understanding shoppers, categories and culture.
The Role:
You’ll translate category, shopper and market insight into clear commercial opportunities that help Proper grow with our retail partners. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Innovation, you’ll shape plans, guide decisions and ensure we show up brilliantly on shelf.
